Body and Sol Women's Expo will be on May 8-9, 2014 at the Tucson Convention Center (TCC), 260 South Church Avenue, Tucson AZ 85701. Join us for opportunity to sample the pleasures and treasures of Tucson! Barbara Peters created Body and Sol Productions to invigorate Tucson's economy. She brings together local business owners, celebrities, entrepreneurs and artists and the energy, buying power and creative spirit of our community's women. Barbara has played key roles in growing companies in New York, Florida, and Seattle, Washington, but now calls Tucson home. As the former CFO for a multi-national architectural firm, Barbara's skills at handling numbers and logistics were tested many times. And her draws easily on leadership and networking skills that are commensurate with her technical abilities. Barbara has planned and executed over 100 events ranging from exclusive charity functions to mega corporate relocations, major holiday celebrations, open houses and community events for thousands of attendees. Connie Marshall, a Regional Director of the U.S. Small Business Administration summarized it best by saying, "Barbara is the glue that holds things together, and the inspiration for others to stretch to their highest potential". Barbara is a graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where she majored in languages. She earned her MBA from Nova Southeastern University. In 2012, the Body & Sol Women's Expo joined forces with Holly Baker, the Owner and Publisher of Tucson's Natural Awakenings Magazine. Their goal: to produce a world-class expo for all. Almost at once, Barbara and Holly set out to gain the support of our wonderful community sponsors - and initiated community action to enlist the help, energy, guidance and talents of their team, the Body and Sol Advisory Board. Holly's Natural Awakenings Magazine belongs to the family of premier publications distributed nationwide and dedicated to furthering the knowledge, use and support of natural, sustainable and complementary therapies, resources and products. The Tucson edition has grown and expanded under Holly's leadership, and offers print, digital and online vehicles that help alternative businesses in our community thrive. It provides essential, life-enhancing and leading edge information to those seeking to live their healthiest, most fulfilling and most satisfying lives. Holly Baker owns and publishes both Natural Awakenings and The Conscious Living Resource Guide. She connects with, influences and guides others in positive directions, producing optimum results in varied settings. Her successes include convention and trade association promotions, advertising, and campaigns for American Association of Plastic Surgeons, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the National Parks Conservation Association. Holly works with practitioners and businesses in Tucson's robust healthy living community, utilizing unique, customized and varied promotional programs. She holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Kansas, and has worked extensively with troubled children and families. Her career is devoted to helping individuals, families and organizations thrive and reach their fullest and most conscious potential.
